Hanna Lundkvist signs for Manchester United

Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Swedish International Hanna Lundkvist until the summer of 2029.

Having previously represented San Diego Wave, Atletico Madrid, Hammarby and AIK the 23 year old full-back brings plentiful of experience.

During her time at San Diego Wave, Lundkvist made 49 appearances and scored 3 goals after joining back in February of 2024.

Alongside these, Lundkvist gained her first piece of silverware with the Wave during the 2024 NWSL Challenge Cup.

Lundkvist's success doesn't only remain at club level but also at international too where the full back has gained 29 apperances.

When asked about her move to the Reds Lundkvist stated: “I am really excited to be here; Manchester United is a club with an amazing history. You can feel how much they have grown in the last few years, competing in one of the strongest leagues in the world and performing in the Champions League."

Lundkvist joins the team ahead of a busy 2026 as the reds tackle four competitions all of which they hope for success in.
