Hinata Miyazawa signs contract extension with Manchester United

Manchester United have confirmed that Hinata Miyazawa has signed a contract extension which will see her remain at the club until June 2029.
Miyazawa joined Manchester United during the 2023 summer transfer window.
Her debut came during the Barclays WSL Opening weekend where the reds successfully gained all 3 points against Aston Villa.
The 23/24 season saw Miyazawa gain 17 appearances for the Manchester side.
During that time Miyazawa has had success with Manchester United and internationally, with Japan.
Miyazawa was part of the United squad who lifted the 23/24 Adobe Women's FA Cup Trophy while also being part of the Japan squad who won the SheBelieves Cup in early 2025.
When asked about her contract extension, Miyazawa said: “I am really enjoying playing football at Manchester United and I am really happy to be continuing my journey here.”
Matt Johnson, Director of Women’s Football also went on to state: “We are really excited to have Hinata extend her time at Manchester United. She has become a critical component to the way we play. Her footballing intelligence and technical ability enables her and the team to control and dictate play from central areas.”
Miyazawa will contuinue to be a critical aspect of Manchester United's team as they continiue their run in four competitions in 2026.
