During this camp, The Lionesses played Germany and South Africa.

We saw The Lionesses beaten at Wembley Stadium, where they played Germany in an International Friendly .

The Lionesses beat Germany 2-1 in the European Championships in 2022 on home soil, which then lead to England winning the tournament.

However, this time round, The Lionesses were beat 4-3 against the runners-up of the Euros.

The goal-scorers were Georgia Stanway, who scored twice against some of her German teammates at Bayern Munich.

The second goal-scorer was Lucy Bronze who closed the gap between the two sides.

Alessia Russo, who was awarded the England’s Player of the Year and Top Goalscorer award during this international break, scored however VAR ruled the goal out due to offside.

Both Germany and England have already qualified for the European Championships 2025 in Switzerland.

What could England do better if they face Germany in the European Championships next year?

England will have younger, fast-paced players, as we see the likes of Grace Clinton, Jessica Naz and Maya Le Tissier.

These are players who have been on top form for their clubs.

Grace Clinton is a potential key midfield player England, she showed this during the first block of the Women’s Super League Campaign, scoring three goals in four matches for the red devils.

Her Manchester United teammate, Maya Le Tissier, became the Red Devils captain after Katie Zelem left.

She has been a solid defender for the back line of Manchester United.

Grace Clinton scored her second goal for the Lionesses during this International break.

This shows the power that Grace Clinton can bring in the midfield, which will trouble most teams down the centre in the European Championships next year.
