
Mary Earps is understandably one of the best goalkeepers in women’s football and has won many standout individual awards to prove that.
This including; The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper: 2022 & 2023, Women’s Super League Golden Glove: 2022-23, FIFA Women’s World Cup Golden Glove: 2023, BBC Sports Personality of the Year: 2023, BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year: 2023.
What team does Mary Earps currently play for?:
Earps made the move to French Première Ligue side Paris Saint-Germain during the 2024 summer transfer window.
Before she made the move, she spent five seasons with Manchester United.
At Manchester United, she won the Women’s FA Cup 2024, after beating Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 at Wembley Stadium.
Not only that, she was a regular starter for The Red Devils.
She made 125 appearances, whilst also breaking the record for Women’s Super League Clean Sheets in one season.

Mary Earps started her professional footballing career at Leicester City in 2009, however during this time, she didn’t make any appearances.
After her time at Leicester City she went to her hometown club, Nottingham Forest. She had made four appearances with the club.
From then on, she played for the likes of; Doncaster Rovers Belles, Coventry City, Birmingham City, Bristol Academy and Reading.
Mary Earps made a huge move to German side Wolfsburg in 2018 where she spent one season, making four appearances.
Then she moved back to England to play for Manchester United and now at French side PSG as stated before.
Mary Earps’ standouts throughout her England Career:
Mary made her first appearance for England in 2017 against Switzerland.
Mary Earps was part of the winning England Squad for the Women’s European Championship 2022.
Once again, she was a regular starter for Sarina Wiegman and conceded only a couple of goals throughout the tournament.
She was also part of the England Squad that flew out to the Women’s World Cup down in Australia in 2023.
During this tournament, England reached the Finals against Spain where England was defeated 1-0.
Despite the result, Mary Earps had an incredible game, saving a penalty kick taken by Spanish Forward Jenni Hermoso.
Mary Earps had received The Golden Glove Award during this tournament.

Recently, Mary Earps has played many games for her new club. She’s made her Champions League debut with PSG as well as Première Ligue debut.
However, heading into this international window, England have called up other incredible Goalkeepers.
This being; Chelsea’s Hannah Hampton and Orlando Pride’s Anna Moorhouse.
These Goalkeepers have been in outstanding form as well as Mary Earps.
With Earps being England’s Number One Goalkeeper, it is likely she will start against Germany on Friday 25th of October at Wembley Stadium.
