During the off season, the English midfielder completed a surprising transfer, leaving Liverpool to join Aston Villa.
Liverpool is Bo Kearns’ home club and she has worked through the club since just eight years’ old. However she has decided to depart the club due to the lack of game time.
Throughout her time of playing for the Women’s First Team, Bo Kearns scored seven goals in the 62 matches she has played.
Pre-Season
Aston Villa womens travelled to Marbella, Spain, where their pre-season would take place.
Her journey with Aston Villa kicked off with a closed door game against her ex-club Liverpool. Missy managed to get her first minutes with the club and helped them to a 1-0 victory with Ebony Salmon scoring the winning goal.
Match two saw Aston Villa play against Real Betis FC gaining a 1-0 win. Missy played the first 45 minutes of this game with Adrian Leon scoring the winning goal.
Back in England, the girls played two pre-season friendlies. Missy didn't not get any game time during these games, this is more than likely to manage her game time and slowly introduce her to the club.
However Aston Villa gained a 1-3 win against the WSL side Everton.
Against the championship side Charlton, Aston Villa pulled through to end with a 2-2 draw.
If you want to see how Missy Bo Kearns gets on during Aston Villa’s opening match, their game on Friday 20th against Chelsea will be streamed on BBC Two.
