Lucy bronze signed for Chelsea on a two-year contract ahead of the 2024/2025 season.
Having completed two years at Barcelona, where she won two champions league titles, Bronze made herself the first English player to win five European clubs.
Bronze has an extensive range of the clubs she's previously played for, all of these she’s been successful at, these include Sunderland, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City and Barcelona.
Her talent shines through not only at club level but on the international stage too.
The Lioness not only has won the European Championship in 2022 but was also a World Cup runner up the previous year.
With 125 caps and 15 goals it’s no wonder why she has been nominated for four Ballon d’Or Awards including the upcoming 2024 Awards on October 28th.
Pre-Season:
During Chelsea's preseason tour, in America, Bronze made three appearances and played a total of 209 minutes.
Bronze debuted in a Chelsea shirt for the first time against Gotham City on 20th August where the blue side won 3-1.
Five days later, the blues faced Arsenal at the Audi Field.
Despite both teams struggling to find the back of the net, Chelsea were the ones to break it having found the decider in the 48th minute.
Bronze’s impact throughout Pre-Season is reflected by her efforts made throughout her time at her previous clubs, showing how big of a role she will host in the Chelsea squad.
Bronze is set to make her WSL debut for Chelsea against Aston Villa on Friday 20th September at Kingsmeadow Stadium.
However, this isn’t the only way to watch as the match will be available to stream on BBC and is scheduled to kick off at 19:00.
