
Vivianne Miedema: Inside look on her Pre-Season

The Ex-Arsenal striker departed Arsenal at the end of the 23/24 season to join Manchester City, who placed second in the previous WSL season ahead of Arsenal.
Miedema spent seven seasons at Arsenal, playing 106 games and having 112 goal contributions. During this time, the WSL saw her score 78 goals making her the Barclay’s WSL top scorer of all time.
Pre-Season
Manchester City Women travelled to Perth, Australia, where they would play in a Pre-Season matches against Leicester City and PSG.
Their first game was against the WSL side Leicester city. Miedema was subbed on in the 71st minute making an automatic impact on the game. Neither team found the back of the net so the game went on to penalties. This is where Miedema went on to score the winning penalty securing Man City the win proving to all the fans just how good she is.
Four days later, they went on to play against PSG and came out with a 1-0 defeat. However, Miedema was not named in the squad.
Travelling back to England, Man City played a closed door friendly against the wsl side Liverpool. Miedema once again did not claim any time on the pitch however her team did gain a 2-1 win with Jess park and Lauren hemp finding the back of the net.
